Evaluation of creating sensory task
our performance revolved around "the great escape". To do this we started by constructing a tunnel to guid our audience through made of tables pushed on their sides and positioned next to the wall, we then scattered the walkway with wet leaves and dirt so that the tunnel felt damp and cold this also triggered the sense of smell as the area now smelt of dirt and leaves enforcing the feelings and emrsion into the performance. finnally we then turned out the lights to play on the factors fear and the darkness of the tunnel creating panic.
Before leading the audience through the tunnel we decided to set up a senario to build up the audiences excitment we did this by talking them through a plan of action in a millitant format using a board with pages to present the phases of the plan we then split the group into 3 groups of four holding hands on shoulders and led them through the tunnel. we then played the great escape theme tune in the background to make the situation seem playful.
we then suddenly as a group turned off the music and made the sound of steps and german solider noices to then create panic like they have descovered the tunnel making the last group crawl quickly through the tunnel, to inforce the panic we then started hitting a ladder and chasing after the audience group shouting in german accents, this therefore inforced the ideas of threat.
